Possession-based digital access.

Tangicred builds infrastructure that ties digital credentials to physical objects. Access is granted by what you hold, not what you remember.

Pre-revenue · Self-funded

The thesis

Digital access today relies on knowledge-based factors—passwords, PINs, recovery phrases. These can be phished, leaked, or forgotten. Possession-based access shifts the root of trust to a physical credential. If you have it, you’re in. If you don’t, you’re not.

Tangicred is building the infrastructure layer that makes this practical. We are focused on one deployment, one integration, and one clear proof of concept before scaling.

How it works

A physical NFC credential is paired with a digital identity. Authentication requires possession of the credential.

1

Credential is issued

A physical NFC device is provisioned and bound to a digital identity.

2

User presents credential

Access is requested by tapping the credential against a reader or compatible device.

3

Access is granted

The system validates the credential and authorizes access. No password required.

Current position

Tangicred is early-stage by design. We are building deliberately, not quickly.

Self-funded

No outside capital. Founder commitment ensures decisions are made for the right reasons.

One deployment

Controlled scope. A single integration to validate the model before expanding.

Infrastructure mindset

We are building the layer others will build on. That requires getting the foundation right first.

Pre-revenue

Honest about our stage. Revenue follows a working product, not the other way around.

NFCD

NFC-based digital credentials are the core building block. A physical token serves as the access key to digital systems.

Physical-first

The credential exists as a tangible object. It cannot be copied remotely or intercepted over a network.

Simple integration

Designed to work with existing NFC-capable hardware. No specialized readers required.

Controlled issuance

Credentials are provisioned through a managed process. Every credential is accounted for.
